How SkyRipple works
The ink uses a dry-erase formulation where pigment is held together by a release agent. After the surface dries to a matte film in roughly 10 seconds, submerging the drawing in water releases the whole image from the surface, lifting it intact and letting it float atop the liquid. No batteries or apps required—just a plate, a marker, and water.

Three steps to floating art
- Choose a smooth, non-porous surface—a ceramic plate, a polished spoon, or the inside of a glass mug. Wipe it dry.
- Sketch your design with a SkyRipple pen. Wait about 10 seconds for the ink to dry and become matte.
- Place the surface in a shallow bowl of room-temperature water, or pour water over it. The drawing lifts and floats. Slide a spoon under it to scoop and enjoy.
